BIG PINK, 2012
TEXT and PHOTOGRAPHS by K.B. DIXON
As in the previous installment of this brief series, I have collected images from a larger ongoing project—from what is basically a photographic journal, images that offer a glimpse of Portland as it was in the not-too-distant past in juxtaposition to what it seems to be now in this disappointing, dispiriting, and worrying present. My hope is that in this glimpse of what we once were, the viewer might find traces of what we could possibly be again.
