“Words of Love.” This puzzle could have been about portrayals of love, ever present in all art forms. But last year’s “Odi et Amo” puzzle covered that.  Or, perhaps, it could have been a riff on the great Mamas & the Papas 1966 hit sung so beautifully by Cass Elliot. Hmmm, what to do.

But when I googled “words of love,” I mistakenly typed “words with love,” and my screen was filled with various dictionaries presenting hundreds of words containing the letters L-O-V-E, in any order or position. Too good to pass that up, dear puzzlers.

This puzzle is constructed around 19 words in which you will find those four “love letters.” Perhaps it’s a reminder that love can be found in so many places, including the words we use every day. And as a special holiday hint, a ️❤️ precedes any clue whose answer is one of the 19 words of love. It’s a bit ️❤️ unconventional, but enjoy.
